Tropical Beginnings
This Island Cruiser was produced by Excel Motors from 1996 to 2006. Patrick Marzouca founded the company in 1994. After prototype testing of designs and configurations, production began two years later in Savanna-La-Mar, Jamaica. The result was a rugged and stylish two door convertible that combined a timeless look with a reliable Toyota drivetrain.
Production Years
The Island Cruiser was produced from 1996 to 2006. During this time hundreds were produced locally with a dozen or so being exported to Turks & Caicos and The Bahamas. Many could be seen all around Jamaica with several being available for rent in Negril. There are still Island Cruisers on the road today with at least two being used in major Jamaican political events.
Fresh off of the Factory Line
This majestic teal cruiser is used for government events and parades. The seat has been raised for better visibility of occupants and metal framework has been added to house speakers during events.
